Business Reporter (Ref: EDT 01 09/10)
Responsible for daily business reporting for a dynamic English language newspaper in the UAE. The successful applicant will generate original hard and soft news stories about business and the economy in the region. In addition to business stories, the reporter will also write profiles and work with the newspapers research department to turn reports and data into compelling news stories.
Job Responsibilities include:
Produce daily business news stories for the business section
Report, develop and write strong, sophisticated story lines.
Write company and executive profiles as well as other featured content
Analyze and write stories from research-driven documents
Skills
Solid news judgment and experience in covering the business beat
Strong reporting skills and must be able to break news
Ability to write on tight deadlines.
Produce at least one story a day and juggle multiple assignments
Exceptional good writing skills which require little or no editing.
The ideal candidate will be a graduate with a minimum of 3 to 7 years of experience in the field of reporting with adequate local exposure in the region which will be an added advantage.
