The fair is being held in Madinat Zayed and Al Ruwais for the convenience of people.
Director of Higher Colleges of Technology in Al Gharbia Phil Kwirk said holding the fair at the Higher Colleges of Technology would have positive effects on the students and their professional choices as they could get direct information from the employers on the job requirements in the future.
Participating firms also underlined the importance of the fair in aiding the labour market in the region.
For instance, Dubai Islamic Bank is offering 13 positions, including eight for women, at its new branch, Bassam Amir, employment executive at the Human Resources department of the bank, said.
Officials at the bank’s pavilion are briefing the visitors about the nature of the jobs, and the rules and work system of the bank, he added.
