The FAGHR offered sincere greetings to the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and Their Highnesses Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of Emirates; on the occasion of the advent of Holy Ramadan.

The working hours of the private sector companies will be reduced from eight to maximum six hours a day during the holy month of Ramadan, without affecting the salaries of employees, the Ministry of Labour announced on Monday.

Labour Minister Saqr Gobash issued a ministerial circular to private sector companies and establishments on the reduction of work hours in the UAE.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Interior in Abu Dhabi has announced the work hours at the directorates of residency and foreigners’ affairs across the country during Ramadan.

All service points at these directorates will work from 9am to 6pm continuously to reduce rush and customer congestion during the holy month.

Major-General Nasser Al Awadi Al Menhali, Undersecretary of the Ministry of the Interior and Assistant Undersecretary for Naturalisation, Residency and Ports Affairs, said that work groups have been set up to oversee fast transactions at all service counters without delay.

This is to ensure the best services for all customers as part of maintaining total quality, he added.
