CHICAGO - Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Foreign Minister, will hold meetings with leaders of a number of member countries of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (Nato) and leaders of 19 member countries of Nato’s International Security Assistance Force (Isaf) on the sidelines of a two-day Nato summit in Chicago.Nicola de Santis, Head of the Mediterranean Dialogue (MD) and Istanbul Cooperation Initiative (ICI) Section, Nato Political Affairs and Security Policy (PASP) Division, underscored the participation of the UAE in the Chicago summit of the 28-member organisation.
He expressed appreciation of efforts by the UAE to promote security, peace, stability and economic and social prosperity in Afghanistan and other restive parts of the world.
