ĎAl Ain lucky to have Cosminí

(KT Report) / 26 April 2012

Shaikh Abdullah Mohammed Khalid S. Al Nahyan, Al Ain Club Board of Directors chairman while praising his club coach Cosmin, congratulated Shaikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Rulerís Representative in the Western Region and honorary president of Al Jazira Club and Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE, Minister for Presidential Affairs, and Al Jazira Club president, for retaining the Presidentís Cup.

Shaikh Abdullah assured that Al Jazira’s achievement represents the great efforts this season and as a crowning moment for the players, coach and administration staff.

Shaikh Abdullah valued the attendance of the rulers and nation’s leaders in the final which represents the dearest slogan for everyone ‘We Are All Khalifa’.

He also assured that winning the cup represents an important morale push for Al Jazira in the AFC Champions League where Al Jazira represents UAE.

He praised the efforts of Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, and president of Baniyas Club, the runners-up to Al Jazira, the defending champions of the Etisalat Pro-League.

Meanwhile, Shaikh Abdullah stressed the necessity of concentration and double efforts against Al Jazira in the Etisalat Pro-League.

The Al Ain club head said Al Ain should not be over confident with the lead they have now and to urged on the team members to concentrate harder.

“Since the beginning of the season we adopted a clear strategy and it is not time to change now. Al Jazira however still have hope despite Al Ain is closer in terms of points difference.

“However things will be decided in the stadium so we should not anticipate events before they happen because football doesn’t admit expectations as much as it rewards the best and most prepared ones.

“In fact Al Ain fans have a good level in football and support matters. They are aware of the role they play in the stadium for their team.

“They also know that victory will lead their team to podiums and if this happens we will all  celebrate in Al Qattara, but losing will delay our happiness but we will never spoil our chances in the league. Now we have the points and the more prepared we are, the better for us.

About his expectation for the match, he said: “Everything is indicating to a top match it will take place in Al Qattara, but football doesn’t allow for over estimation. I assure you we will watch an interesting and exciting match since it is between two big teams hoping to win the league.

No doubt, both teams’ fans will say their final words in Al Qattara and the match will reflect the good image of UAE football.

About foreign players in Al Ain, he said: “We are now only concentrating on the league and later all the details will be disclosed related to the new contracts of foreign players by the professional committee in the club, which includes Cosmin, the coach.

Shaikh Abdullah assured that Cosmin proved to everyone that he is the best in the technical aspects of the matches.

“His coaching skills and abilities this season is there for everyone to see after he succeeded in preparing two teams not just one.

“Now Al Ain is able to handle all circumstancesdepsite absences and injuries. I think most clubs wish to contract with Cosmin who has a great coaching fingerprint on some of the top teams,” he said.

Shaikh Abdullah said, “Al Ain signed up with Radoi for two years and with Scocco for three years, while by the end of this season we will disclose what will happen with both Al Qahtani and Asamoah Gyan, who are on loan for one year.”
